The American Heart Institute is the first private hospital of this type on the island and specializes in covering all non-invasive and invasive cardiology interventions and the entire spectrum of adult cardiothoracic surgery procedures. It is the only private healthcare provider in Cyprus that has a contract agreement with the Ministry of Health for these services. The presence and the activities of the institute contribute substantially in raising the standards of care in cardiology and cardiac surgery. Furthermore because of its proximity to the Middle East, the institute is in a position to extend cardiac services to clients not only from Cyprus, but also from the surrounding countries.
